The Nosey Neighbour: A Musical Nativity for 4 to 9 year olds.

This is a musical about the couple who live next door to the stable. Much to the annoyance of his wife, the Nosey Neighbour is very interested in what's going on next door, but he gets the surprise of his life when curiosity finally gets the better of him and he goes round there to see for himself.

The Journey (A Musical Nativity for 3-6 year olds)

So easy to put on; a really popular show!

" the children picked it up easily"
"they were very confident and loved performing this"
"there wasn't a dry eye in the house"
(Production staff, Brooke Priory School, Oakham)

Synopsis

  • Everyone is going on an important journey. It brings them to the stable where they find baby Jesus and they all want to celebrate.
  • This simple but effective Nativity is just right for very young children and can be put on so quickly and easily.
  • There is little to worry about in the way of staging and scenery.
  • The children have only 3 songs to learn, but by using different accompaniments to fit the various characters, 6 distinctive numbers are created. The play builds into a simple tableau and the narrator's part (virtually the only speaking part) is in rhyme. It can be read by an adult or an older child or shared out amongst individual performers or small groups.
  • Simple actions to the songs are not only fun but help to consolidate word learning.

Booklet - £14.95
C.D. - £9.95

The Lucky Reporter (A Musical Nativity for 3-7 year olds)

Endlessly versatile; great value for money !

"We were so proud of our round singing"
"Our young actors were beautifully led by our year 6 reporter"
"It was lots of fun and we really enjoyed the songs and the humour"
(Production staff, Brooke Priory School, Oakham)

The Lucky Reporter re-tells the Christmas story in a modern day context, one which the children understand clearly and enjoy performing. There is great diversity in the text and the music, meaning that we were able to tailor the play to match our requirements. A great success, thank you.
(Craig McEvoy - head of Pre-Prep Music, Upton House School, Windsor)

Synopsis

  • The reporter is on the lookout for some interesting news and, after talking to different groups of travellers on their way to Bethlehem, finally arrives at a stable. The best news is waiting there.
  • This versatile Nativity comes with 2 different scripts. Both are contained in the same booklet. The 1st is primarily aimed at 4 to 7 year olds and the 2nd is an easier version for 3 to 5 year olds. The second version gives the majority of the speaking lines to the reporter, who is played by an adult or older child and is able to guide the young actors from the middle of the stage.
  • Alternatively, you could mix and match scripts. This gives you even greater flexibility when working with children of different ages.
  • The songs are fun and the children can also enjoy all the actions which accompany the words.
  • There is the optional opportunity for some round singing. We found that with the singing parts led by teachers and adult helpers, our children tackled this activity successfully and with great enthusiasm.
